WTO: the road to Cancun
Source: Choike

The next ministerial meeting of the World Trade Organization (WTO), which is to be held in Cancun, Mexico, in September 2003, will also be the focal point for the next gathering by civil society organizations to demonstrate against globalization. It is likely, therefore, that the panel 'WTO - the Road to Cancun' will attract a large audience among those World Social Forum (WSF) participants with an interest in trade issues.

The panel will take place on Friday 24 at 2pm, and the speakers are:

Ivan Polanco, member of the Mobilization Committee the Road to Cancun
Lori Wallach, Public Citizen, United States
Martin Khor, Third World Network TWN, Malaysia
Mohau Pheko, International Gender and Trade Network IGTN, South Africa
Muthoni Muriu, Oxfam International, Senegal
Paul Nicholson, Via Campesina, Spain
Rafael Freire Neto, Hemispheric Social Alliance, Brazil
Stanley A Gacek, AFL-CIO, United States
