The 1st session of the Working group to follow up the work of the PrepCom for the Durban Review Conference is taking place in Geneva until 30 May 2008. The working documentation is available on the OHCHR Website and additional reporting and resource are available on the I-CARE Website.
The Preparatory Committee announced on Monday this week that the Review Conference on racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia, and related intolerance will take place in Geneva from 20 to 24 April 2009.
NGOs not having ECOSOC Consultative Status and not accredited to the Durban Conference but willing to request accreditation for the Review Conference are advised to answer the accreditation questionnaire available on-line (doc.format), preferably before 8 June 2008.
NGO meeting with the Bureau of the Durban Review Conference PrepCom, 30 May, Geneva
The Bureau of the Preparatory Committee will meet NGO representatives on Friday 30 May 2008, at 10 a.m. at the Palais des Nations, room XXVI, with the view to addressing the issue of participation of NGOs in the on-going preparatory process.
