Coordinadora Civil
Fri Jun 23 2006
The resident representative of the IMF in Nicaragua, Humberto Arbulu-Neira, forwarded to the Coordinadora Civil (Nicaragua) a copy of the letter in response to the questions that numerous persons sent by e-mail to Managing Director, Rodrigo Rato, motivated by the campaign that the Coordinadora impels together with Intermon Oxfam (Spain). The mobilization is for the elimination, reduction and/or flexibilization of the IMF conditionalities in Nicaragua.
Coordinadora urges the networks and organizations of Nicaragua to refute with their own arguments, collective or individually, the expositions of this letter, especially in the topics that they affect and/or that are a priority for the work of each organization in particular. Civil society organisations all over the world also will be able to take part, adhering or giving testimony of their own experience. Now Intermon Oxfam and Coordinadora Civil are preparing a joint statement.
