The Board of Governors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Boards of Governors of the World Bank Group normally meet once a year to discuss the work of their respective institutions. The 2004 Annual Meetings took place in Washington D.C. from 2-3 October 2004. International civil society organizations protest World Bank-IMF policies through events and mobilizations near the official meetings and around the globe.
