UNCTAD XII: 20 - 25 April 2008 in Accra, Ghana

The twelfth session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (known as UNCTAD XII) was held from 20 to 25 April 2008 at the International Conference Centre in Accra, Ghana. Several thousand delegates including some world leaders attended the gathering, under the theme “Addressing the opportunities and challenges of globalization for development”. [see more] The Accra Declaration (pdf) On 25 April 2008 at the close of UNCTAD XII, the 193 Member States of UNCTAD adopted by consensus a short ministerial declaration entitled the Accra Declaration.
