The sixth session of the Assembly of States Parties (ASP) to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC) takes place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from 30 November to 14 December 2007. Nine years after the adoption of the Rome Statute of the ICC, over half of all states have ratified it and the sixth session of the Assembly takes place in the context of a functioning International Criminal Court, which is about to start its first trial. The Assembly of States Parties is the management oversight and legislative body of the ICC.
