World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund - Spring Meetings 2005

SPRING MEETINGS - Each Spring, the joint Bank-IMF Development Committee and the IMF's International Monetary and Financial Committee hold meetings to discuss progress on the work of the Bank and Fund. This year the meetings will take place in Washington, D.C. from 16 - 17 April. Discussions will focus on the world economy state, the oil prices and the IFIs effort to introduce changes in poor countries. As in previous years, the World Bank and IMF civil society teams organize a number of Dialogues for interested representatives of civil society. The dialogues will be organized on Friday, April 15, and Monday-Tuesday, April 18-19, and Wednesday, April 20, 2005.
