Social Watch launches 2007 Gender Equity Index (GEI)
The 2007 GEI includes a regional analysis of the data compiled for the different countries studied and their evolution. While North America is currently the region with the highest degree of gender equity, it is also the region that has most regressed in the last three years. This is basically a result of the United States’ performance, which reveals significant regression during the 2004-2007 period.
