Habitat International Coalition - Middle East and North Africa (HIC - MENA)
HIC is an independent, international, nonprofit movement of some 400 organizations and individuals working in the area of human settlements. Members include NGOs, CBOs, academic and research institutions, civil society organizations and like-minded individuals from 80 countries in both North and South.
International Centre for Migration and Health (ICMH)
Established by IOM, the University of Geneva and WHO to do research, policy and training on migration and health. ICMH is a WHO Collaborating Centre for Health-related Issues Among People Displaced by Disasters.
International Organization for Migration (IOM)
IOM is an international organization working with migrants and governments to provide human responses to migration challenges.
Regional Conference on Migration
An intergovernmental forum of eleven countries in North and Central America devoted to sharing information and promoting dialogue on migration. Site provides information and documents produced by the Conference and about its activities, projects and seminars. Provides links to a variety of migrant-related agencies, NGOs and information sources around the world.
UN and Partners on Refugees
UN Refugee Rights Commemorative Site
Site launched to commemerate the 50th anniversary of the United Nations Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees which was formally adopted on 28 July 1951 and has been ratified by 140 countries, with Belarus soon to become the 141st country to ratify the convention.
United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR)
UNHCR helps the world's uprooted peoples by providing them with basic necessities such as shelter, food, water and medicine in emergencies and seeking long term solutions, including voluntary return to their homes or beginning afresh in new countries.
United Nations Relief and Works Agency - UNRWA
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) provides education, health, and relief and social services to 3.9 million registered Palestine refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, the Syrian Arab Republic, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

Laura Agustín writes as a lifelong migrant and sometime worker in both nongovernmental and academic projects about sex, travel and work.
AMC operates as a monitoring, research, information, publishing, training, support and action center dedicated to the promotion of the human rights and empowerment of migrant workers and their families in Asia.
