Coalition for Women's Human Rights in Conflict Situations
The Coalition aims to promote the adequate prosecution of perpetrators of crimes of gender violence in transitional justice systems based in Africa, in order to create precedents that recognise violence against women in conflict situations and help find ways to obtain justice for women survivors of sexual violence.
Coalition of women for peace

Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict
International network of civil society organisations working for conflict prevention and peacebuilding worldwide. Divided into 15 regions, the Global Partnership has worked over the past three years to develop Regional Action Agendas on conflict prevention, and, finally, a Global Action Agenda, presented at the UN at the Global Conference 19 - 21 July 2005.
International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA)
International network of over 400 organisations from 71 countries working to prevent the proliferation and misuse of small arms and light weapons.
International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL)
Network of more than 1.400 NGOs in 90 countries to ban on the use, production, stockpiling, and sale, transfer or export of antipersonnel landmines.
International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA)
IDEA aims to promote and advance sustainable democracy and to improve and consolidate electoral processes worldwide.
International Womens' Peace Service (IWPS)
IWPS Palestine is an international team of 16 women based in Hares, a village in the Salfit Governorate of Occupied Palestine's West Bank. Since August 2002 they have been documenting human rights abuses, working with the media, and engaging in non-violent intervention in abuses.

A Palestinian not-for-profit organization established with the aim of strengthening, encouraging and improving the Palestinian community through working with children, families, youth, and the non-governmental organization community.
The Coalition for Nuclear Disarmament and Peace (CNDP) is India's national network of over 200 organisations, including grassroots groups, mass movements and advocacy organisations, as well as individuals. Formed in November 2000, CNDP demands that India and Pakistan roll back their nuclear weapons programmes.

US dropped nuclear bomb near Basra in 1991, claims veteran
An American veteran of the first Gulf War in Iraq claims that the United States dropped a five-kilotonne nuclear bomb in 1991 in a deserted area outside the southern city of Basra on the Iranian border.

After an emergency summit in the Chilean capital, the presidents of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) expressed their resounding support for the government of Bolivia and decided to set up commissions to support talks and to investigate recent killings in that country, which is caught in a wave of political unrest.
