Alternative Radio is a vital electronic link connecting activists, NGOs and ordinary citizens. Our goal is to break through the ideological sound barriers that prevent progressive viewpoints from being expressed. Each week AR focuses on a specific topic such as Iraq, Palestine, the water crisis, WTO, globalization. Our speakers include Noam Chomsky, Vandana Shiva, Angela Davis, Arundhati Roy, Edward Said and Naomi Klein. The one-hour broadcast is free from any commercials. AR is unusual in that it is offered free of charge toall public stations. Its sole source of support comes directly from listeners who purchase copies of the broadcast. Information is central to forming and sustaining organizations. Without organizations there is no
