Spring Meetings 2009 - Each Spring, the joint Bank-IMF Development Committee and the IMF's International Monetary and Financial Committee hold meetings to discuss progress on the work of the Bank and Fund. This year the meetings will be held over a 2-day period, from April 25 to 26, at the WB and IMF headquarters in Washington D.C. The event will consist of a series of policy dialogue sessions, which will bring together WB and IMF staff, civil society organisations representatives, and governments delegates.

The issue brief, "Troubled assets: The IMF's latest projections for economic growth in the western hemisphere", finds that for some countries the IMF’s projections inexplicably portend a prolonged negative impact of the current world recession.
