From 3 - 8 August 2008, the 17th International AIDS Conference (AIDS2008) was held in Mexico City. This conference organised by the International AIDS Society is the largest international conference existing, and is held every other year. The movements of People living with HIV (PLHIV) gathered from 31 July to 1 August 2008 prior to the international conference in the "Living 2008".

New action agenda sought for children with HIV and AIDS
Children have been severely neglected in the response to AIDS, and new policies and funding must be significantly refocused to achieve what they should for children, the XVII International AIDS Conference was told.
