The International seminar of the Gender and Education Office (GEO) of the International Council for Adult Education (ICAE) will be an opportunity for women from around the world who work in Youth and Adult Education to get together, embark on an analysis and define strategies for the participation at the Sixth UNESCO International Conference on Adult Education (CONFINTEA VI) in Brazil in May 2009.

With more than 697 participants from all regions around the world, the virtual seminar in preparation for 6th International Conference on Adult Education (CONFINTEA VI) aimed to provide input to the elaboration of regional and global agendas towards the meeting. All documents available here.

As member of the World Social Forum International Council, ICAE - the International Council for Adult Education - calls for action within the framework of the WSF Global Day of Action, on 26th January 2008, by inviting social movements and NGOs working in the education field, to draw the attention of governments, on the fulfilment of the right to education for all as a universal human right.

More than two hundred participants from about fifty countries came together in Bonn from 15 to 16 November 2007 to inform each other and search for ways to cooperate closer in the future in the complex and diverse field of migration and integration through adult education.
